It all started in the Summer of 2017.

Michelle was living in Dorchester, and Jonathan in Brighton. Little did they know that one ordinary Saturday night would change their lives forever.

Michelle and her friend Erin headed to the Irish Village in Brighton, a spot they rarely visited. Brighton was not somewhere you would usually find these two ladies. Dorchester and Quincy were the girls' usual stomping grounds. Coincidently, Jonathan also ended up at the Irish Village with a friend. A bar that he usually never drank in.

As fate would have it, Michelle and Jonathan started talking thanks to their mutual friends. The conversation flowed and soon the group made their way to the White Horse Tavern in Allston. Typical of these two never wanting the party to end! A few drinks later, Michelle and Jonathan parted ways, with Michelle rounding up Erin for an Uber home. No numbers were exchanged, just a nickname—“Pinto”.

The next day while Michelle and Erin were sitting out in Canton drinking Magners and watching Gaelic football Michelle decided to play detective and find the boy with the nickname “Pinto” on Facebook. Michelle also knew one other detail about him and that was that he had red hair and she was debating if that was the life she was going to choose for herself. However Jonathan’s quick wit and kind heart quickly changed her opinion about red hair.

While sitting at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton Michelle realized that she and Jonathan probably shared a mutual friend so she decided to search for him. Michelle being the detective that she is was able to find him so she quickly hit that add friend button. While Michelle and Erin were busy chatting and drinking she didn’t realize that Jonathan had sent her a message on Facebook. That was the beginning of the messages that were the length of paragraphs. The paragraphs were exchanged back and forth for months until they eventually exchanged phone numbers.

Finally, Jonathan arranged a double date at Devlin’s. Michelle and Erin arrived on time. Jonathan and his friend? Two hours late—with two more friends in tow. After some well-deserved giving out, for being so late all was forgotten and an enjoyable night was had by all.

Since then Michelle and Joanthan have shared countless adventures. Their first trip was to New York City, and it quickly became one of their favorite places. So it was only fitting that Jonathan got down on one knee on the Brooklyn Bridge on September 16, 2019, with the Manhattan skyline behind them.

Over the years they have traveled far and wide. They visited South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nashville, Delray Beach, Miami. Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Clearwater, San Francisco, Chicago, New Jersey, New York. Of course they took it International as well to Ireland and Cancun, Mexico.

Even with all of this traveling Jonathan and Michelle purchased their first home in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Finally the time has come for them to plan a wedding in her dad’s home place in the Lovely Leitrim. Michelle and Jonathan can’t wait to celebrate with all of their family and friends.
